Father shoots dead son over his wife’s trousers in  Chipata District

Police in Chipata district in Eastern
Province are still looking for a father who is alleged to
have  shot dead his 19 year -old son for wearing his
mother’s trousers.

 Eastern
Province Deputy Commissioner of Police Sharon Zulu says the
suspect Martin Mwale has since vanished , despite having
assured his family that he would report himself to police
after shooting  dead his son who is a grade 12 pupil of
Chipata Trades Institute secondary school.

 ZANIS
reports that Ms Zulu  in an interview today said that,
the suspect as most likely fled into neighbouring Malawi
where he allegedly owns businesses.

 She stated
that police are still carrying out investigations.

 Last week,
Mr. Mwale allegedly shot  his biological son Martin
Mwale Junior on the left thigh after it was reported that his
son wore his wife’s trousers which annoyed him extremely to
the extent of shooting the deceased.

 The body of the deceased has since
been buried while his father is still on the run.
